What’s T8200Pro-G

T8200PRO-G is a narrow-band radio frequency detection instrument, suitable for 10KHz-100MHz resonance frequency, Q factor and energy attenuation detection, and also for chip UID identification. Very suitable for RF performance testing of LF/HF smart cards, RFID tags and inductive components, accurately reflecting to how the unstable process such as changes of winding size, embedding wire thinning, material, shape, position and distance, etc. affect RF performance, or their RF performance compliance monitoring.

· It reflects the measurement consequence of variates with extremely high sensitivity which reaches the laboratory test level. It’s a proof tool and knock-door brick to Japanese market. RF power, bandwidth are adjustable to simulate different test environment/variates to calculate Q factor and assess quality.

· At the same time, it takes into account the adaptability of operation. Small size, intuitive interface, 5VDC power supply, easy to carry, whether in the company or outside, whether it is a single unit or embedded in other machines, it has a good performance.

· T8200Pro-G consists of a host, test probes, test software and interconnected RF cables. The product is extremely simple, maximizing the stripping of redundant components, and displaying the core unit. The software can be downloaded to work with the help of a PC under the Win OS environment.

Significance of Detection

· In the quality control of radio frequency identification, people often ignore the important design indicators of RFID tags - resonant frequency and antenna gain, and habitually introduce transponders into the production process of RFID products, resulting in false detection and misjudgment, and product quality cannot be guaranteed. T8200Pro -G is specially customized for such product performance testing to ensure product consistency and assess the design.

· 4 Indicators

Resonance frequency RF: In a parallel or series circuit composed of inductance L-capacitor C, they each have the ability to reserve magnetic field and electric field, and endowed with a certain initial energy, this energy will be converted back and forth between the magnetic field and electric field to form a periodicity Charging/discharging characteristics, the frequency of this cycle is called "resonant frequency". It is the natural frequency of the LC circuit. When the frequency of receiving external energy is the resonant frequency, the LC parallel or series circuit can obtain the maximum voltage and the minimum current.

Attenuation/Gain: The attenuation index displayed in this instrument points to the recovery loss after the power transmission of the test board. For the antenna under test, it can be understood indirectly as gain, which refers to the amplification ratio of the test board’s transmission power obtained by the tested antenna. have a strong inverse correlation. The larger the amplitude, the stronger the energy obtained by the antenna under test, and the larger the gain value. Usually, the peak value of the power conversion value can be detected at the resonant frequency point. For more details, please refer to the "scattering parameter" theory.

Q factor: that is, Q factor, which is an important parameter to measure the quality of a resonant circuit or coil. It is a ratio and has no units. It is usually obtained by simple calculation methods. The Q factor depends on design factors, and it is appropriate to choose a stable level, not bigger is better.

· Three Relationship:

1)The attenuation value index is the basis for the RFID tag to transmit information, and it is also a necessary condition for judging whether it is qualified. No matter where the resonant frequency of the tag is, as long as it has enough energy to couple with the reader, it can respond.

2)The resonant frequency index is the optimal coupling point when the RFID tag responds. According to the resonant principle, the current in the circuit is the smallest at this time, and the loss is the least. It is a sufficient condition for judging that it is qualified.

3)Q factor, comprehensive response attenuation value, bandwidth and resonance frequency distribution relationship.

UID: the user identification of each RFID tag, the integrated UID detection function of T8200Pro-G endows it with more flexible and specific test advantages, and can record the radio frequency performance according to the UID to form a log.

 

Test Method

· Test Alone:

It’s easy to achieve the test by pressing the trigger button. It’s suitable for the state analysis and performance research of the individual or a small number of samples. The steps are as follows:

Step 1. Connect the instrument to the computer with wires.

Step 2, add and download the program from the CD, enter the setting from the shortcut key

Step 3, perform simple settings in the following order, and click Verify to enter the detection preparation state

Step 4, put the sample card on the test antenna, click start, and the test

result will appear

· Online testing scheme:

It means that the instrument is embedded in the automatic testing machine, and the continuous testing is carried out through the external command and the communication signal of the T8200Pro-G instrument. It is suitable for 100% testing in the production line. There are two ways for online testing --- PLC communication control and external program control, the PLC communication control is given priority here, as shown below:

 Step 1, complete the wiring as shown in the figure

PLC communication signal, Pin1, 2, 4, 6, 12, 13, 14 must be connected, others can be selected according to needs.

Step 2, change the trigger setting

 Step 3, choose the correct antenna and fix it on the machine testing platform

Step 4, according to the single-machine method, set the reference and standard, and start continuous testing.
